Vigor RC T4 adjustable battery mount

Vigor RC have introduced an adjustable battery mount for the Xray T4 series of electric touring cars. The multi-piece assembly utilises specially designed, eccentric inserts that can be turned around to place the battery pack in a front or rear position as well as in a more inward or outward placement. The carbon fibre battery brackets allow to wrap the mounting tape around them to do away with the need to route the tape on the bottom of the chassis for less chances to create a tweaked chassis, and chamfered edges reduce the chance of the battery tape being cut.

Reflex Racing TC7.1 carbon fibre top decks

Coming from Reflex Racing and made for the Team Associated TC7.1 touring car are three new top decks. First up is the vertical top deck kit that was designed to make the TC7.1 take advantage of the adjustment characteristic of a vertical frame top deck. Vertical top decks provide better forward bite due to the increased fore and aft rigidity of the chassis. They also provide for a platform where flex adjustment can be isolated at different points of the chassis through using stiffening posts which allows for a more adaptable flex characteristic based on the track conditions. The vertical top deck setup will excel in outdoor tracks with long sweeping corners and also indoors when used in high bite conditions. Additionally, when used with Reflex Racing’s pitch control system, it allows for fully symmetrical flex characteristic on the car.

Hosted by IROCC, the team of volunteers led by track builder extraordinaire Craig Roberts put down yet another great track. High speed and flowing, it put the focus on the racing, while the brand new spec tire, the Sweep QTS-32 BK Black Carpet edition tire provided the perfect tire for the high grip, fast layout. With racers flying in from all over Western Canada and the northern US, it was once again a great event. In Touring Modified, Team Awesomatix’s Wayne Mah, last year’s TC Mod Champion, is currently on a perfect streak of TQs and wins, and lands in Victoria and continues to tear it up. Setting a fast TQ over a great field, edging out Xray’s Korey Harbke and Luke Pittman. Wayne then went on to a perfect double win, to watch the battle for the rest of the podium in A3. Dave Ehrlick would drive his Xray to the win in R3, and end up 2nd overall, with Korey completing the podium.
