Each year, the first weekend of September holds one of the best-kept racing secrets in RC – the JConcepts Turf Nationals. It’s not your ordinary race as it’s a top-level race that’s focused on fun, exciting high-speed racing, and is consistently one of the biggest racing draws in the Northeast. Playing host to the Turf Nationals each and every year is radical RC Madness in Enfield, Connecticut and what a special RC facility it is. Between the numerous outdoor and indoor tracks, all together there are eleven possible tracks with the single sole purpose of having fun with your RC cars. The Turf Nationals always draws in some amazing talent from around the area and this year was no exception. Even with so much talent gathered at one track, the “chill” vibe is what makes Turf Nationals extra unique and one of the most fun races to attend. Pemberton RaceWorks Slash adjustable rear arms

Pemberton RaceWorks have announced the release of their The Final Answer Traxxas Slash Edition adjustable rear arms. These arms share a design as used in the 10th scale dirt oval world, and this very same technology is now available for the ever popular Traxxas Slash platform. The product offers a great amount of track side adjustability and allow for up to 12 degrees of rear toe adjustment (+6 degrees to -6 degrees) while also allowing to access track width adjustment. The arms sport two sliding rails that are captured in the arm’s front and rear pockets. The rails can be individually positioned at various lengths creating toe-in and/or toe-out at the outer hinge pin position. Advantages of the design include no change in wheelbase while adding toe settings, and toe positioning will not move as a result of a crash or brushing the wall. Built from nearly indestructible Nylon 6-6 and aluminium, these arms are also ultra-strong and applications include dirt oval, offroad, and drag racing. The set includes arms, rails, screws, pivot balls, shims and Lunsford Titanium inner and outer hinge pins.

JConcepts Super Indoor Tour Rd2 – Report

Beachline Hobbies & Raceway was the host for round 2 of the 2019 JConcepts Super Indoor Tour over the weekend. Beachline Raceway is a unique indoor track that uses an artificial turf rolled out over top an old dirt track that gives racers that off-road feel, but with endless amounts of traction. With the unique track conditions, the local fast guys seem to have an extra gear and can be tough to catch throughout the single day race. Race day began with early morning practice as 101 entries prepared to do battle throughout qualifying and the double main format used in this new series. Qualifying was ultra-tight with the “best 3-lap” system being used as racers traded the top seed 5 and 6 times throughout a 4 minute qualifier bringing extra excitement to each and every heat. The double main format once again proved exciting as many racers took advantage of the 2nd chance main. 2WD Mod Buggy had some great battles, but it was local favorite Kai Goff that had a perfect weekend winning the double A-mains. Lee Setser and Brett Kingsbury would tie for 2nd, but it was Lee who took the tie-breaker for 2nd overall and Brett 3rd.
