Xray release Multi-Diff for NT1

We briefly covered the multi-diff in our NT1 options round-up a few days ago, and at the time i thought it was just the same system as used in the front of the Serpent 720, and basically it is in that it allows you to run a oneway or, with the insertion of a steel pin, a solid front axle. What is unique about the multi-diff though is that is also allows you to run a solid one-way axle as well.

A lightweight machined steel hex-style locking axle can be inserted into both outdrives to lock them together and create a solid one-way, which means both outdrives turn freely together as a one-way (at the same time), thus creating a solid one-way off-power.

Glenn Phuah wins at Singapore Nats

Xray are reporting on their site from the latest round of the 1/8th scale off road nationals in Singapore, which saw 53 buggy drivers and 15 truggy drivers line up for the start. Qualifying saw Chester Chua take the TQ spot for Xray while in the A-final he carried this pace through to lead a 4 way battle at the fron that included team mates Sam Cheng and Glenn Phuah as well as Hong Nor racer Ah M. Unfortunately Sam had his engine flame out which dropped him out of contention leaving Glenn Phuah to take the win for Xray ahead of Ah M in 2nd with pole man Chester Chua in 3rd.

Thrax Truggy tires by Xray

Xray have updated their website with the lastest spare parts for their XT8 truggy among which are these Thrax truggy tires. These low-profile truggy tires ensure high traction and high speed while the large sidewalls are designed for more controllable and consistent side bite. The tires are made from soft compound to generate sufficient grip in most racing conditions. Xray have also released truggy wheels and inserts that can be bought seperately or as a pair with the tires.

Jason Branham dominates CEN Nitro Invasion

Xray are reporting on their site from last weekends CEN Nitro Invasion that took place at the Hobbies Xtreme Raceway in Bossier City, LA. The event was open to buggy and truggy and featured some realy hot competition from around the country. In the buggy class it was Jason Branham that took the TQ spot driving his Xray XB8EC and he went on to lead the 45 minute Pro Buggy final from start to finish, beating CEN racer Andrew Smolnick who came home 2nd. In the truggy class is was much the same, with Branham putting his XT8 on pole, and despite a crash at the start of the final could regain the lead, and take the win by 5 laps at the end of 45 minutes.

Xray release lots of NT1 Optionals

Xray NT1 Optionals

Xray have updated their site with a large number of new optionals and tuning parts for their 200mm racer, the NT1. Far too many to write about individually, we have copied in some images of the main parts and we have put a link to the whole lot at the bottom of the page. New parts include a machined LCG chassis, lighter transmission parts, new CVDs and Multi diff, rear anti-roll bars, spur gears, pinion gears, new clutch parts and lots more.

Xray XT8 now Shipping

The guys at Xray have been in touch to let us know that the Xray XT8 kits are now shipping to all distributors. The kits should be available in shops within the next few weeks. Peter Harder wins Rd3 of Danish TT Nats

Another report from Xray, this time from the 3rd round of the Danish Nationals held at a huge RC stadium just outside Copenhagen. The results from the semi finals saw Kyosho racer Thomas Mikkelsen take the top starting position ahead of Xray racer Peter Harder in 2nd, who when the race started made a bad start allowing Steffen Culmsee to come from behind to take the lead followed by Harder. After the pitstops Peter could regain the lead and, after an accident for Culmsee, could cruise home to the win ahead of Mikkelsen in 2nd with 3rd spot going to CEN racer Rune Gustavsen.

Harris Katikas wins Greek Nats Rd2

Harris Katikas wins Turkish Nats Rd2

Xray have a brief report on their site from the 2nd round of the Greek electric Nationals which was held last weekend on the Patras circuit. Harris Katikas, racing for Xray, completely dominated the World (open) class race by taking the TQ and the overall win ahead of team mates Nikolakopoulos and Agelakopoulos in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the National class it was a win for Karabelas with 2nd going to Flabouris while Balasis took 3rd.
