Made for all crawler enthusiast are these Ruddog Crawler brushed motors, which are now also available in 550-size. Coming in 5-slot specification and two different winding variants, 10T & 15T, the dual ball-raced motors feature adjustable timing, plated end bells, replaceable motor brushes and springs, brush heatsink towers and they are fully rebuildable if needed. The adjustable timing allows to adapt and optimise the motors for drivetrains that require reverse motor rotation operation.
Maclan Racing introduce their new motor bearing tool with carrying case. This bearing tool is compatible with all Maclan Racing brushless motors and most other RC brushless motors on the market. Its precise design allows for the easy removal and installation of bearings on RC Brushless motors and the included compact plastic carrying case protects the tool and allows for easy storage in a pit box or travelling.
Team Powers have released V4 of their Actinium line of brushless motors. Compared to the V3, there is a new stator design to improve the torque at bottom end, while a black coating improves the outwards appearance. High grade copper wire improves the motor resistance, while a new heavily machined case design improves heat dissipation. Weighing approximately 150grams, it will come in 4.5T, 5.5T, 6.5T, 7.5T, 8.5T, 9.5T, 10.5T, 13.5T, 17.5T & 21.5T variants.
Reedy’s Crawler 550 14T 5-slot motor is the same motor that comes standard in the Element Enduro Gatekeeper RTR. Now available separately, this motor is highly capable, unlike typical ‘throw away’ RTR motors. Ruddog Products have introduced an addition to the line of RP691 1/8 brushless motors with a new 2600KV rating. This new version offers more power and better performance on large tracks with big jumps. Like the others in the line, it features a unique cooling system, which not only includes optimised cooling vents, but also a direct mount high-speed aluminium fan.
Hobbywing have announced their all new XeRun 4268 & 4274 G3 series of motors for 1/8th scale applications. With options available for both onroad and offroad the new motors feature a built in chip that means it can be easily identified when pairing with Hobbywing’s XeRun XR8 series of ESC, allowing it to work in the sensored mode at all times for better performance. With this pairing the motor can also utilise the Turbo timing function which has been brought over from the 1/10th offroad to unlock maximum power from your motor. The motor can also have the mechanical turbo timing accurately adjusted in both clockwise and anti-clockwise between 20-40˚. The efficiency of the new motors has also been greatly improved over its predecessor with the efficiency improved by around 6% which helps reduces the heat build up in the motor. Featuring the first ‘error-free’ Hall sensor system it ensures the independent high speed and high-precision encoder always outputs pure rotor position signal, avoiding the interference of sensor signal, making the motor function more stable. The design of the G3 has also been optimised to reduce the weight of the motor with the can machined from a since piece of aluminium, the onroad version featuring additional cutouts. The 4268 is available in 1900KV & 2200KV for offroad and 2000KV & 2800KV for onroad, with the longer 4274 coming only in 2250KV.
A small update from Muchmore who have released a version of their Fleta ZX V2 motor with the 21XR rotor included. The motors that this rotor will come pre mounted are the stock 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T versions. The 21XR rotors are a super ultra high torque type that meet ROAR specs for for 1/12, Touring and 1/10 2wd & 4wd buggy.
