Pedro Rombouts wins Dutch NK Rd2

The 2nd round of the Dutch Nationals for 1/10th 200mm was run last weekend at the RAC02000 track in Utrecht. Qualifying for the NK class saw Belgian racer and Euro B finalist Maxim Claes take the pole position with his Xray ahead of Serpent driver Daan Jacobs in 2nd, with current champion Pedro Rombouts in 3rd and Remy Moller in 4th. Making a comeback for the weekend was Julius Kolff, the former European 235mm champion showing he has lost none of his speed qualifying in 5th. Baldes brothers join Mugen Team Germany

RC Devil PC10H2 200mm pan car

German company RC Devil have been in touch to show us their latest project, the PC10H2, a 200mm pan car, with plans for a 235mm version also in the works. Based on some Hatzenbach prototypes made by Achim Schulz, this car will be released in a small series and features an innovative dampened front end as well as centrally located batteries and a lot of practical innovations to make it a very competitive car. SpeedMerchant line of LiPo friendly chassis’

SpeedMerchant have shown some photos of their new line of LiPo friendly chassis’. Cars getting the LiPo treatment will be their current Formula Rev5 and their 200mm World GT in both 3.7V and a 7.4V saddle pack version as well. They will also have a 7.4V 235mm car for the European market, or anyone who wants to go really fast across a parking lot. CRC Gen-X 10 235mm Expansion Kit

Calandra Racing Concepts have released this 235mm expansion set for their popular 200mm Gen-X 10 chassis. Kolff and Keur take European titles

This weekend saw another European Championship being run as well as the 1/8th scale buggy Championships in Crete, with the 1/8th scale 40+ and 235mm European titles also up for grabs. Hosted by the MACH track in Heemstede, The Netherlands, this event has a relaxed vibe yet the action on the track was very serious. Qualifying took place on both Friday and Saturday and in the 40+ class it was German Serpent racer Andreas Giesa that took pole position from local Mugen racer Richard Keur in 2nd with Jacky Mouton and Rody Roem completing the top 4, both for Serpent….

Heremans wins Belgian 235mm opener

The Belgian 235mm National Championships got underway recently at the small and technical Houthalen circuit, where drivers spent Saturday testing on a dry track only to arrive on race day to find a wet circuit. With the rain having stopped, the track was completely dry for start of the final but on the very first lap it started to rain lightly and everyone pitted to change tyres, then 5 minutes later the heavens opened up and another tyre stop was required.
