175RC TLR 22 4.0 18g transmission weight

175RC.com have a new option part for the TLR 22 4.0 buggy available in the form of an 18g transmission weight. This optional brass ballast weight will allow to tune the rear weight bias of the buggy to suit various track conditions and will give the car more overall rear grip. This brass weight is a direct fit and it includes a Ti-Look mounting screw.

Serpent SRX8 43/13T overdrive diff gear set

Coming from Serpent and made for the Cobra SRX8 range of vehicles is the overdrive diff gear set. Machined from super-tough steel and coated for protection and wear resistance the 43T/13T gear set is best used on the front gearbox where it will make for increased steering response while entering corners. When used in combination with 3k to 5k centre diff fluids the vehicle will also have increased acceleration in certain track conditions. The set includes a 43T diff gear and a 13T input gear both of which are also available separately.

Bornhorst & Ogden win at Battle of the SiKest

The 2017 Battle of the SiKest was held at S&B R/C Speedway, attracting over 170 entries for the usual breed of 1/8th nitro and electric classes. Pro Nitro Buggy saw Joe Bornhorst taking the TQ from Evan Vail and Cole Ogden and in Open Nitro Truck it was again Joe who took the TQ. Cole Ogden and Evan Vail would complete the top 3 result. In the first two of the triple Pro Nitro Buggy A-mains Joe was able to conserve his qualifying performance, taking the overall from Cole in 2nd and Evan 3rd. In the single Open Nitro Truck A-main it would be runner-up after the qualifiers, Cole Ogden to take the win some eleven seconds in front of Joe while Blake Pickett rounded out the top 3 result.

Ultimate Racing nitro engine throttle return spring

Modelix Racing have introduced the Ultimate Racing throttle return spring for .12 to .21 nitro engines. Attached to the carburettor throttle linkage ball the spring will ensure the carb is closed in the event of a lost or broken linkage or during electronic failures, sending the engine to idle and thus saving the vehicle from becoming uncontrollable. The spring is usable with on-road and off-road engines alike.

6th Annual JConcepts Stock Nationals – Report

The 6th Annual JConcepts Stock Nationals were hosted by OCRC in Huntington Beach, California. With over 310 entries dedicated to pure stock racing from all classes and skill level ranging from Novice, Sportsman, and Expert some would argue this race is harder to win then the official ROAR Stock Nationals as it draws in more competition and also being based in southern California where the skill level is among the highest in the country. With the event selling out in a short amount of time, the JConcepts Stock Nationals has been one of the most anticipated races in the region.

A responsive tyre the Looper offers fast steering characteristics thanks to its staggered 3-row square pin tread design that makes it usable in clean, dusty and even loose track conditions. Team Associated B6 gearbox/bulkhead shim set

Team Associated help to add more front and rear tuning adjustments to the B6 and B6D buggies with the B6 gearbox/bulkhead shim set. The front bulkhead shims are used between the chassis and front bulkhead to lower front roll centre which provides a smoother steering response and increases mid-corner steering. The rear bulkhead shims are used between the chassis and rear gearbox, optimising dogbone angle when running at low ride height. The set includes precision-moulded composite parts and all needed fasteners.
