SWorkz S35-3 series +1mm offset wheel hex adapters

Coming from SWorkz are new +1mm offset aluminium wheel hex adapters for the S35-3 series of buggies. Widening the car by a total of 2mm will result in more steering when used up front while the adapters will make for a more stable rear end when used in the back of the car. The adapters come anodised for wear and looks and they sport anodised markings for easy identification.

Yeah Racing height adjustable alloy servo mounts

Yeah Racing have released new height adjustable aluminium servo mounts for 1/10th scale vehicles. Machined from aluminium and coming anodised in a range of colours including orange, blue and black the mounts are perfect replacements for plastic servo mount brackets found on some older spec kits. Using the alloy parts will make for a more solid servo installation, resulting in a more crisp steering reaction especially when using high-power servos. Included with the mounts comes suitable mounting hardware.

Tom Robin wins at French 1/8th Buggy Nationals Rd3

Round 3 of the French Nitro Buggy National Championship as held at the CAV de Viglain track this past weekend. In the premier Elite class Team Associated’s Tom Robin took a popular TQ in front of some of the country’s fastest drivers and in the 45-minute main final Tom was able to conserve his performance, bringing home the win some ten seconds in from of TLR’s Renaud Savoya while Xray driver Yannick Aigoin snatched the final podium spot some two laps down.

Rheinard claimed sixth Reedy Race title

Marc Rheinard has claimed a sixth Reedy Race of Champions title, the race’s most celebrated champion wrapping up victory at the 20th edition of the legendary event in style with his 7th win of the weekend in the penultimate round of the heads up racing format.  First crowned Reedy Race Champion in 2006, that win also at the historic Tamiya Raceway, Rheinard’s latest victory sees him extend his record tally of wins having surpassed 4-time Champion Barry Baker as the races most successful driver with his last win in 2015. The German’s win also marked the first major international title for touring car newcomers Infinity for whom the 4-time World Champion only signed for earlier this year after his unprecedented professional stint with Tamiya came to an end at the end of 2016.

2017 NRW Cup Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the 2017 NRW Cup was held at the high-grip astro turf track of the M.A.C.H.-One Helmond track in the Netherlands with over 90 entries from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. During Saturday’s practice and first qualifier everybody was struggling with the high temperatures of over 30 degree Celsius which made for high traction. On Sunday morning though the drivers were greeted by a wet track and the following two qualifiers would be run in wet conditions. For the finals the track had dried up again and in the premier OR8T “Top” Nitro Buggy class it was Agama’s Bart Mullink who made the best out of the changing conditions as he took the win from the Xray duo of Sander van Genechten and Jarno Pijpers in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ty Tessmann wins at Rocky Mountain Meltdown Race

The recent Rocky Mountain Meltdown Race was held in Calgary, AB in great weather conditions. In Nitro Buggy Xray’s Ty Tessmann made a clean sweep in the qualifiers, taking all three rounds of qualifying for the overall TQ. Starting from pole position into the main, Ty would never look back to take the win from the Team Associated duo of Eric Hardy and Peter Tozser.

Ryan Maifield sweeps JBRL Nitro Series Rd2

The second round of this year’s JBRL Nitro Series was held at Fear Farm R/C Raceway over the weekend. Mugen Seiki’s Ryan Maifield would take a double overall TQ after coming out on top of the Expert Buggy and Open Truggy qualifying. In the 20-minute Expert Buggy A-main Ryan would lay down a pretty dominating performance by winning the race one lap in front of Mugen teammate Adam Drake while Mike Truhe in 3rd made for an all-Mugen podium lock-out. In the Open Truggy main final it was again Ryan Maifield (Mugen) who brought home the silverware by taking the win from TLR’s Tanner Denney 2nd and Tekno pilot Carlos Arredondo 3rd.

David Ronnefalk TQs & wins Swedish Cup opener

The opening round of the Swedish Cup was held this past weekend. HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk made a near clean sweep in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class, taking the overall TQ after winning four of the five qualifying rounds. In his semi final he lost a shock pin on the very first lap and the following repair cost him about one and a half laps but he was able to come in fourth to start the 45-minute main final from the 7th spot on the grid. In the main final David soon started to move his way up and ultimately he would bring home the win some two laps in front of Kyosho’s Jessica Palsson despite some rain making things interesting again. HB Racing driver Niclas Brunsberg would end the day on the 3 spot some 9 seconds short of Jessica.
