BRCA Touring Car Series Rd2 – Report

The second round of the BRCA Touring Car Series took to the North of England and one of the premier tracks in the country, Halifax. With mixed weather in the area there were winners and losers in both the Modified and Stock classes. In the Modified class Schumacher’s Olly Jefferies lined up 2nd on the grid after qualifying behind Xray’s Elliott Harper, but both were on a different tyre strategy so the finals would be interesting. In the first leg Olly pressured Elliott hard for the first few minutes and managed to make a pass, Elliott pushed hard to retake the lead but made a mistake in the fast left. This enabled Olly to take victory from Elliott and Team Associated’s Zak Smith. In a similar scenario in the second leg Olly managed to pass Elliott to take the win again, taking maximum points for the weekend, which was very important for the championship. Zak was 3rd again with Andy Murray 4th overall, an excellent result from 10th on the grid.

VSR Products 8ight series diff shim set

VSR Products have announced the release of a diff shim set for the TLR 8ight-X and XE kits. The set comes with a 1mm and 2mm shim along with four M4 screws to replace the stock ones. Raising the rear diff is extremely beneficial when running on smoother tracks with medium to high grip with lower ride heights; allowing for faster lap times to come easier in such tricky conditions. It can also be useful on tracks with tight corners. To get the most out of this setup, VSR recommend raising the inner camber link 1 to 2mm, along with shortening the rear shock length by .75mm or more.
