Serpent F110 SF2 formula kit

Serpent introduce the all-new F110 SF2 1/10th scale formula car kit. Designed by Michael Salven and David Ehrbar the car is based on a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and it features a new front end design compared to its predecessor with 2.5mm lower carbon fibre and upper composite A-arms, adjustable ride height for both rubber and foam tyres as well as quick adjustable castor using moulded inserts. To fine-tune the steering characteristics the king pin angle is adjustable using inserts and the included independent front suspension set with tube dampers helps to smooth-out the suspension action.

International Dutch F1 Masters – Announcement

International Dutch F1 Masters - Announcement

Hosted at the MACH track in Heemstede, The Netherlands, host of the 2012 IFMAR Worlds, the International Dutch F1 Masters will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of April. Open to racers of Formula cars of all skill levels, the fun race will see free practice on Friday followed by controlled practice and 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday with a final qualifier and triple finals on Sunday. A great opportunity to practice prior to the ETS in Italy the following week, there will also be a raffle on Saturday evening which is a great opportunity to win prizes. Green wins at British Indoor National Champs Rd3

Round 3 of the British Indoor National Championships was held at the Swift Raceway in South Yorkshire last weekend. Mark Green (Serpent) took the overall TQ in the Formula class and in the A-final he lead all the way from his pole position on the grid and managed to win the A-main from Mark Burgess (CRC) and Dave Underwood (Xray) who rounded out the podium. The final round will be held at Chesterfield on Sunday 26th April.

Chodzynski and Broad Seal EWS Championship Titles

The final round of the Essex Winter Series took place this weekend. With both championships up for grabs in the UK’s most popular on-road championship, the finale promised to be a fitting end to a great season. In the Zen Racing Modified class, Stefan Chodzynski had one hand on the title, with his Capricorn team-mate Kyle Branson needing to take a maximum points haul, and Stefan to struggle at this final meeting, for the title to go any other way. In the VBC Super Stock standings, Jimmy Maddison needed to TQ and Win the meeting to prevent Tony Broad taking his first EWS title.

Zak Finlay rejoins Team Xray

Xray is happy to welcome the young talented British driver Zak Finlay back to Xray team. The multiple UK National and Schumacher BTCC Champion has in previous years successfully raced Xray as a private driver and after short break now returns back to the Xray team. Zak is fully focused on the electric touring racing and will race the T4 in 2015. Zak had this to say:

Schumacher 2015 Mi5 Evo shock towers

Schumacher together with their factory race team have been hard at work to develop new Mi5 Evo shock towers for the 2015 racing season. The new towers give a small change in wheel rate giving a slightly softer feeling with drivers experiencing better precision through the corners giving improved lap times. They were used with great success at the recent ICC race in Essex by Schumacher drivers Elliott Harper and Michal Orlowski to take 3rd and 5th place against some tough competition.

Rally Legends Fiat Abarth Assetto Corse body

The Italian Rally Legends line-up has been expanded further with the addition of the great looking Fiat Abarth Assetto Corse clear lexan body kit. This body is compatible with all the 1:10 190mm touring and drift chassis that is currently on the market and come supplied with all the decals as well as molded rear wing, mirrors and windscreen wipers.

Kawada F500WS formula kit – Coming soon

Kawada has released a preview image of their forthcoming F500WS formula car kit. It appears to build on several parts taken over from the company’s W500 1/12th and 1/10th pan car range with a purpose-designed double wishbone wide track front suspension and a rear link-type suspension that makes use of in-line roll damper as seen on the TRG formula cars. The slim carbon fibre chassis features a stand-up steering servo mount that obviously can be shifted forth and back to fine-tune the steering geometry while the shorty battery mount also allows to shift the pack forth and back. Other features or general information so far remain in the dark but it is understood that Kawada tries to have the kit available by April.
