HB Racing D817 & RGT8 anti-roll bar sets

HB Racing have introduced two new anti-roll bar sets for the D817V2 Buggy, D817T Truggy, RGT8 and RGT8-E cars. They give racers a finer range of stiffness to help tune the car to track conditions. The front sway-bar set has 2.3mm and 2.5mm bars, while the rear sway-bar set includes 2.5mm and 2.7mm bars, each labeled with a tag that shows the stiffness.

Adam Drake wins at DDH and the Drake 2 race

Deans Discount Hobbies of New Port Richey, Florida held the DDH and the Drake 2 race this past weekend. In the Expert Nitro Buggy class it was Mugen’s Adam Drake with the TQ and Adam would also come out on top of the 15-minute A-main event, taking the win a lap ahead of Christian Bruck (Serpent) as Serpent’s Billy Easton rounded out the top 3 results.

Factory RC YZ-2T carbon fibre option parts

Factory RC have announced the release of a plethora of new carbon fibre option parts for the Yokomo YZ-2T 2WD stadium truck kit. First up is a battery hold down set in traditional black weave as well as blue and gold weave carbon fibre materials. The set is made from 3mm and 5mm carbon fibre pieces utilising the stock hardware to greatly improve battery retention. Using the 5mm spacer block and an additional bolt the battery stops and battery tab no longer flex which can allow the battery to eject from the vehicle. The set will also fit the YZ-2 series of buggies if owners change the sideguards to the updated YOKZ2-002SPT parts.

Tyler Jones wins at ROAR Region 5 Off-road Champs

The ROAR Region 5 1/10th scale Off-road Championship was held at EN Hobbies in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend. 2WD Mod Buggy qualifying and the main were super close with intense battles between TLR’s Tyler Jones and Team Associated’s Aydin and Austin Horne. Ultimately Tyler was able to grab the TQ and win the main, that was one to watch. Austin Horne would come in 2nd, some 2.8s behind Tyler as Aydin had to settle for 3rd, another 1.7s down.

RC Cars Cavalieri 8ight-X rear CF shock tower

RC Cars Cavalieri from Germany have introduced a carbon fibre rear shock tower for the TLR 8ight-X buggy. Machined from high-quality material and offers various shock and camber link locations the part is a direct replacement for the kit’s alloy shock stay with the carbon part being understood to offer a lower weight and additional traction on very bumpy tracks.

Exotek AE 6 series alloy rear hubs & wing mounts

Exotek have released two new aluminium option parts for the Team Associated 6 series of kits in the form of 2-tone rear hubs and a buggy wing mount set. Starting with the rear hubs, the stealthy 2-colour anodised alloy rear uprights fit the B64, T6.1 and SC6.1. The customised polished black base with blue chamfered accents goes great with stock plastic parts or after market blue parts and through careful cutting and shaping the hubs are actually 2g lighter than the alloy Team Associated counterparts. The set includes 2mm roll centre alloy spacers to match the stock geometry of the AE alloy hubs and Exotek’s updated design works as either the left or right hub, giving racers more camber link hole options.

T-Works T4’19 & BD9 5g balance weight

Coming from T-Works and made for the Xray T4’19 and Yokomo BD9 touring car is a self-adhesive 5g balance weight. The plate is a direct fit for the mirrored motor pocket that is machined into the chassis battery area and it allows for better weight balance when running the new generation of lightweight low-profile battery packs. The plate comes with a black surface coating, gold-colour writings and it is clad with self-adhesive tape for easy mounting.

Factory RC AE 6 series battery retention system

Coming from Factory RC is a new battery retention system for the Team Associated 6 series of off-road kits, such as the B6.1, T6.1 and SC6.1. The system utilises 3mm black or blue weave carbon fibre along with a colour matched aluminium spacer and stock hardware for a secure and highly adjustable retaining system. The system allows for battery float to allow the chassis to work independently which can provide better grip, less chassis “snap”, and a better overall driving vehicle. The battery hold down system is available now in both traditional black weave carbon fibre, and our blue weave carbon fibre material.
