MIP Bandit X-Duty CVD driveshaft kit

MIP have announced the release of their new X-Duty CVD driveshaft kit for the Traxxas Bandit. The steel construction is of a splined design, offers 12mm keyed hex standard wheel adapters and it is rebuildable to replace any worn or damaged parts. Due to being much stronger than the standard parts the X-Duty kit is ideal for the new no-prep drag racing class and form maximum efficiency it is best used with ball-raced Traxxas rear hubs.

Samix SCX10 II brass rear bumper mount

Coming from Samix and made for the Axial SCX10 II trail truck is a brass rear bumper mount. The item is machined from high-quality brass material and it comes with a black surface coating to prevent corrosion while the machined edge details add visual impact as does the gold-coloured Samix logo. The mount adds 101g of weight to the rear end of the chassis while increasing strength, rigidity and durability.

JConcepts 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty MT body

JConcepts have introduced their new 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty MT body for solid axle monster trucks. JConcepts started with a popular wheelbase in the MT community and designed it around the popular race trucks on the circuit. The monster trucks have gigantic tires and the 2005 Ford F-250 takes this into consideration with large openings positioned like the monsters from this generation. The design of the flares and wheel wells allow versatility in a segment that has a wide range of set-ups chassis designs and most importantly, wheelbase. Decal design is a constant focus and with all JConcepts bodies, a quality sheet is included with grille, headlight and taillight layout. The body is 7” wide and offers a 12.5” wheelbase, fitting a variety of platforms inclining solid axle race trucks.

Raceform Lazer large work pit

Coming from Raceform is their new large Lazer work pit. Of a stackable design the work pit integrates with the differential rebuild pit and it offers milled slots for easy pick up of shims, all while helming to improve pit area space management. The parts tray is precisely machined from plexiglas, it measures 156x168x10mm and weighs in at a lightweight 170g. A lower anti-slip foam makes for safe and convenient working and the work pit is available in eight different colours including orange, blue, red, green, purple, white, grey and yellow.

Andrew Cooke wins at Pan Car Challenge

The Templestowe Flat Track Racers of Templestowe, Victoria, Australia recently held their Pan Car Challenge 2018 in Pro10, Formula and 1/12th scale classes. In Pro10 it was Andrew Cooke with the TQ after the qualifiers and thanks to wins in A1 and A3 he also walked away with the overall win from A2 winner Paul Sims in 2nd. Warren Buttriss, with 3-3-3 finishes would round out the podium result.

Novarossi Mephisto.12 2.1cc nitro on-road engine

Novarossi have introduced their new Mephisto.12 2.1cc nitro on-road engine for 1/10th on-road cars. The power plant features a new DLC-coated, balanced and silicone-filled crankshaft for improved durability, a patented off-set carburettor for optimised mixture flow, as well as a new cooling head design for a more efficient heat dissipation. The long stroke engine will become available as ceramic or steel ball bearing version.

T-Works RC8B3.1 brass front upright adjustment nuts

Coming from T-Works and made for the Team Associated RC8B3.1 is a brass front upright adjustment nut set with POM spacers. Replacing the original kit parts with these brass items will increase unsprung weight, which can help traction and drivability in certain track conditions. The set includes four black-coated brass nuts and four POM inserts and it is available now.

Capricorn sign Mirko Salemi

Capricorn have announced the signing of Italian nitro on-road frontrunner, Mirko Salemi to their factory team. Mirko already had the first outing for his new chassis sponsor, taking the win at the year end race in Fiorano with his LAB C803 car. Mirko had the following to say about the deal:
