Picco have announced the signing of Dino Giacalone. The young Italian made the final at the 2012 Euros in Cassino and will assist Edo Picco in developing and testing their new 2.1cc nitro engines. Expect to see Dino at upcoming National and International race meetings.

Sprint RC introduce the new 1/8th Lola 2013 body shell. The EFRA-homologated (#31534) body features a new reinforced front area design, reinforced super stiff side pods and an innovative rear end with very tall side dams. Made from high-quality lexan material the Lola 2013 also sports a super low and narrow cockpit section for better airflow around the engine head.

Panaracer introduce specially designed 64dp pinion gears for the use in electric touring car models. They are CNC-machined from the best possible materials, are a perfect match for the Panaracer spur gears and are available in a range of 22T up to 50T.

Italian company Matrix, known for their successful line of foam tires, has released this rendering of what appears to be an 1/8th on-road body shell. No details are known yet other than the body in questions sports the EFRA number 31535 and it should therefore be legal for racing in 2013. We bring you more details as we get them.

Xray announce that 200mm Nitro World Champion Ralph Burch will stay with the Slovakian manufacturer trough 2013 and that the US super star will participate in all on-road classes this year. Additionally he will race electric off-road races with the new XB4. Ralph says:
I have been racing with Xray team since the very beginning since I have started to race the very first T1 more than 12 years ago. Over the years we have built a very effective team work & cooperation which has resulted into some of my best achievements in my racing career including the World Champion title. I am very proud to represent this finest company and I am very happy that our cooperation will continue and I hope some more great results will come either for me or for anyone at the Xray team. HPI Racing introduce a new option part for the R10 200mm nitro on-road car in the form of an optional belt pulley. The part is designed to give another tuning option for the drivetrain as it will replace the standard 25T pulley with a slightly larger one, slowing down the front wheels in relation to the rear one in order to fine-tune the car. CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium the pulley comes laser-etched for easy identification.
