Pedro Rombouts wins Rd2 Dutch 10th Nats

Round 2 of the Dutch 1/10th scale Nationals took place over the weekend at the quick Baanbrekers track in Ruchphen, who put on another well organised event. Weather was very mixed all weekend with rain early in the day meaning everyone skipped the 1st qualifier and only went out in the 2nd and 3rd, with some rain falling again after, but for the finals it was dry. Qualifying for the NK class went the way of local driver Pedro Rombouts, well ahead of Jurgen Geerlings in 2nd, Ricardo van Dam and Maarten van Lierop rounding out the top 4. In…

John Ermen wins Dutch 8th Nats Rd5

The 5th round of the Dutch 1/8th scale nationals was just held in Gouda, a very tight and small track in the centre of the Netherlands. The weather on Saturday was a bit disappointing, because of rain the practice was reduced to only 2 hours in the afternoon. On Sunday the weather was a lot more forgiving and the sun was shining but still a bit cold because of the wind, but this was good for fuel consumption. Qualifying saw Mugen racer Rick V take the pole position ahead of Serpent racer John Ermen in 2nd, with Rik Veenma and…

Turkish Circuit Nationals Rd2

…the series, Saturday was for the qualifying while Sunday was for the finals. In the 1/8th scale class Ozgur Derin dominated with his Sirio powered Motonica, setting the pace and making an incredible lap time of sub 16 seconds using the Dutch made Schouten T530 body. Due to high wind conditions especially in the afternoon, the Schouten body he was using was a lot less vulnerable to gusts compared to other bodies. Despite some problems during the final he still managed to win from Umut Mutlu and Safa Toral. 1/8 Gas on Road 1. Özgür DERIN – Motonica/Sirio/JR 2. Umut…
