T-Works T4 DLC-coated suspension pin set

Coming from T-Works and made for the Xray T4 touring car is a DLC-coated suspension pin set. The exclusive coating is known from the crankshafts of nitro engines where it reduces wear and tear of the shaft and conrod as the Diamond Like Coat will reduce friction and stress on the surface. The suspension pins’ slick surface will improve suspension efficiency while the dark colour adds a cool look to the lower areas of the chassis. Included in the set, that is usable with the 2016 to 2018 variants of the T4, are front and rear inner and outer shafts that are also available separately.

Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 drift tyres & spool assembly

Traxxas have introduced a new line of drift tyres as well as a spool assembly for the 4-Tec 2.0 on-road car. Starting with the hard-compound plastic tyres, they provide the perfect combination of durability and breakaway potential for any drifting surface. Tough enough for carpet, concrete, or even asphalt, these tyres hold up battle after battle. Precision-glued at the factory, the pre-mounts come in both narrow front and wide rear configurations. Orange, green, or black chrome rim colours help to add a splash of colour or match the body’s design. Also new is the optional differential spool that locks the front or rear axles for predictable breakaway. The set includes all needed parts to replace the standard differential.

Exotek Exo-Six alloy gearbox & CF shock towers

Exotek have introduced new option part for the Exo-Six conversion kit in the form of an aluminium gearbox set, carbon fibre shock towers and a 48 pitch main gear. Starting with the gearbox, the bulkhead is machined from 7075 alloy and provides a solid tweak-free design that is about 8g lighter than each of the stock plastic gear boxes for a substantially lower centre of gravity and thus improved chassis roll. New camber mounting points are more inboard for smoother handling when running longer camber link lengths and more robust to resist breakages as in the stock plastic mounts. Additional features include new centre hold sway bar guide for less weight and easier alignment and raised 2mm top plate mounts allow for easier access to the motor screws and battery plugs. Last but not least do precise bearing guides make for a much more free drive train versus stock.

Xray Racing Series Slovenia Rd4 – Report

The recent fourth round of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia was held at the Genius Ring in Medeuzza, Italy. Since this was the final round of the series drivers made full use of Saturday’s practice in order to fine-tune their cars for Sunday’s race. The Touring Stock class saw some great battles between B.A. and Andrea as they touched a couple of times in the opening A-main and B.A. had to wait for Andrea which promoted Edoardo into the lead. In the second leg B.A. managed to somehow overtake Andrea to take the win and shift the decision for the overall win into the final A-main. Andrea was leading A3 in the opening stages but he suffered a technical issue with a motor connector coming loose, allowing B.A. to take the overall from Edoardo 2nd and Andrea 3rd.
