KM Racing H-K1 Meen version

KM Racing H-K1 Meen version

World Champions KM Racing have released a Meen version of their H-K1 to commemorate their victory back in November. The full option kit will come with blue anodised aluminium bulk heads and the option of mounting the steering servo to the main chassis or top deck. Other included part include new high efficiency brake disk, rear body height adjusters, front anti-roll bar system, aluminium servo horns, full set of anti-roll bars and spur gears and will have the customers name engraved on the chassis plate. Available on April 8th.

Grosse & Knapp take ROAR 1/12th titles

Grosse & Knapp take ROAR 1/12th titles

CRC are reporting that North Dakota driver, Randy Grosse (RG1), took his Gen-X 10LE to a ROAR National title in the World GT class last weekend winning A2 and A3. Team mate Andrew Knapp took another ROAR National Championship taking the 1:12th scale 13.5 class with the CRC Xti car. The driver from Grand Rapids took the TQ spot as well totally dominating the event. His teammate RG1 also ran strong in 13.5 taking his CRC Xti to a 1-2 sweep.

Shepherd Velox V10 Pro details

Shepherd have released an image and details of the final design of the soon to be released and completely revised Velox V10 Pro. The re-designed front end features a ball-raced wire anti-roll bar, a narrower differential, new lower and upper wishbones, a carbon body mount support and a very small aluminium servo saver. The front lower arms can be mounted in two different positions using some eccentric inserts to adjust the roll-center, a unique feature in this class. Additionally the front shock tower has been updated to suit the latest geometry-changes of the shock position for a better steering response.

Spashett double at BRCA 1/12th Nats Rd5

David Spashett continued his near dominance of the 2012/13 BRCA 1/12th Scale Nationals at round 5 of the 6 event series in Stafford last weekend. In the 10.5 blinky stock class on Saturday, David took TQ by the slender margin of 0.2 seconds ahead of Team Associated/Reedy factory driver Olly Jefferies who made a one-off return to this years championship at Stafford. Mark Stiles lined up 3rd on the grid for the A final driving an LRP/Reedy powered CRC with Olly’s team mate Zak Smith and the Serpent of Chris Kerswell completing the top-5.

Adrian Berntsen takes Norwegian Indoor title

Last weekend saw the 2013 Indoor Norwegian Championship was held at the new permanent indoor facility at Mustit Raceway in Moss. The race saw 59 drivers attending participating in 1:10 modified, 1:12th scale (modified) and the three support classes (1:10 World GT, 1:10 Pro Stock and Formula F1) After 5 rounds of qualifying with only the best run to count, Adrian Berntsen was able to take the TQ with 29 laps @ 5:00:248 in front of team mate Petter Berntsen who claimed 2nd spot on the grid with a 29 lap run @ 4:04:881. After some very close finishes with 1,5 seconds separating 3rd and 7th! position on the grid, Oskar Fjeld got himself the 3rd spot for the finals.

Tobias Hepp renews with Orcan

Orcan extend the cooperation with German front-runner Tobias Hepp. With the GT7 and GT7-MH .21 on-road engine series has been introduced two years ago, these engines have been continuously developed to strong and successful power units. Tobias is integrated in this progress and was able to achieve good results in his first year with Orcan. He will use the engines as well as Orcan fuel and accessories in his upcoming campaign that will include races such as the EFRA GP in Lostallo, the Xray Challenge in Germany, the German 1/8th and 1/10th nationals and the EFRA Euros A in Halifax. This is what Tobias has to say about the deal:

I am very happy to continue the cooperation with the whole Orcan team. As a young driver I can benefit a lot from this teamwork. I am looking forward to the new season.

Moravia Xray Challenge report

Moravia Xray Challenge report

The 7th Moravia Xray Challenge was held in the city of Holesov. The race was joined by over 100 drivers with top drivers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia also attending making for some very good racing. The race started on Saturday morning with free practice and continued with three rounds of qualifiers, of which two counted, and three finals. This time the track was very challenging as the layout was fast and filled with four chicanes the drivers had to enter under full power. However the most of the drivers get used to it and the race was exciting in all classes. Team Xray designer Martin Hudy also joined the race and was at hand for all Xray pilots with tech tips and advises. The race itself was run in several classes including two beginner, a Super Stock and a Modified class. In the end Martin Hudy took the TC Modified honours with David Nemcek winning TC Start, Karel Martinec being successful in TC Junior, and Tomas Marek winning the Super Stock class.
