Reds Racing R7E Evoke Euros limited edition engine

Coming from Reds Racing is the limited edition R7E Evoke Euros 3.5cc buggy nitro engine. Issued to celebrate the TQ and win at the 2015 EFRA Nitro Buggy European Championship as well as the Euros Warm-up the engine is build to reproduce the engine used by Euro Champ Elliott Boots. Limited to 300 pieces worldwide the package includes the R7 Evoke EC15 engine and the 2104 pipe, both signed by Elliott Boots, as well as an S manifold and the Reds Racing Quattro clutch system. The engine features a special 7-port inlet and exhaust port with boosters which is only available with this special edition and it also includes a special tuning by Mario Rossi that guarantees low fuel consumption and improved power delivery. This is further supported by the new Gen2 venturi for improved fuel mileage and higher torque. The Gen2 venturi, available in 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0 mm diameters, is one of many new features only available with this special edition and the innovative design improves carburettor fluid dynamics for a even better tuning stability. To certify the originality, each package comes with a quality control certificate signed by Elliott Boots and Mario Rossi.

Exotek Exo22T mid motor chassis set

Exotek have introduced the Exo22T mid motor chassis conversion kit for the TLR 22T and mid motor converted 22T 2.0 stadium trucks. With its simple and efficient layout, the Exo22T offers improved rearward weight positioning of the battery and electronics to better suit a variety of track conditions. The chassis allows standard inline shorty battery positioning or the easy to drive side ways mounted shorty battery installation. Included in the set is a black anodised 2.5mm 7075 alloy chassis with 5mm carbon side rails for proper stiffness and strength. Pocket milling in the chassis lowers the battery and speed controller for a lower overall centre of gravity while the included carbon LiPo strap also acts as a top plate. The LiPo strap is fastened to the rear alloy brace and two alloys posts and part of the package is also a machined 7075 alloy nose plate that is used for durability while allowing for inexpensive chassis swaps.

Lightweight yet rigid the chassis is made from high-quality gun-metal anodised aluminium and it sports carbon fibre insets to reduce the overall weight by 30 grams. The chassis is a direct fit and ideal for all applications where a low weight is needed such as in spec motor classes.

Absima 1/8th buggy wheel sets

German company Absima have new wheel sets for 1/8th buggies available. First up is a tyre called Dirt that features a massive multi-surface tread to tackle a wide range of track conditions and surfaces such as asphalt, dirt, grass and more. The tyre sports a 117mm diameter and a width of 40mm and it comes pre-glued on black disc rims compatible for virtually all 1/8th buggies out there. Also new are two sand paddle tread tyres of different shape. The larger tread comes pre-glued on black rims while the finer tread is mounted to while 5-spoke wheels. The tyres are ideal for bashing in the snow and sand.

Coming from HPI Racing and made for the Baja 5B Flux large scale buggy is the Ultimate Power Pack set. Included are two softcase 14.8V 5300mAh 60C LiPo battery packs that snuggly fit into the buggy’s tough plastic battery box. The packs come pre-wired with T-type connectors and also included is a suitable jumper wire. Despite fitting into other vehicles HPI strongly recommend to use the batteries only in cars with battery boxes to not leave them unprotected from the elements.

JConcepts B5M honeycomb aluminium chassis

Seen for the first time at last week’s IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships JConcepts have now officially introduced the honeycomb lightweight aluminium chassis for the Team Associated B5M. Machined from hard anodised black aluminium and sporting milled hex shaped pockets the chassis also features aluminium islands in the electrics compartment which are left to allow an electrical footing area for mounting and wiring needs. The hex pockets in the centre of the chassis have been cleared for sensor wire or miscellaneous wire routing. All edges of the honeycomb pockets have been highlighted with chamfered edging all around, bringing out an luxurious look. The honeycomb chassis weighs in at 112 grams, some 23 grams less than a stock counterpart all while still remaining structurally sound, making it deal for stock and modified racers alike.

Pro-Line hard 1/10th buggy rear foams

Available soon from Pro-Line are hard rear foams for 2.2″ 1/10th buggy tyres. Used by Ty Tessmann to TQ and win at the 2015 Pro-Line Cactus Classic the hard foams are of a solid closed cell design with no internal grooves for maximum hardness and durability. They offer maximum support for the tyres, are ideally used on high-bite surfaces and come in pairs.

2015 JConcepts Fall Indoor Nationals – Report

The 2015 JConcepts Indoor National Series made its way to the popular RC Excitement in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Just outside of Boston, with the fall weather beginning to slowly creep in to cooler temperatures in the mornings, and the leaves beginning to change into the bright fall colors that are well known for the region. Inside the facility however, the racing was hot on the fast flowing layout. This year’s circuit had a good flow and feel, with elevation and enough jumps to keep even the experienced drivers on their toes. Todd Anderson and his staff had the track, pit area and shop ready for the weekend full of visitors.
