Round four of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held at the popular Odense track. Last Sunday the third round of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held in difficult track conditions. Due to Saturday’s rain and the sugared track Sunday morning began with a surface drying session as the car’s tyres would take a lot of sugar, making it impossible to drive and reducing practice times to about 30 minutes. Round five of the Danish Electric Off-road Nationals was held at the RCKongen outdoor carpet track. In the 2WD class the battle for the top spots was on between Mike, Frederik, Marcus and Jesper. In the opening qualifier Marcus and Mathias were the lucky winners due rain in middle of the top heat. Jesper and Jonas made it 3rd and 4th while others from the top heat were out of a main pace. Round four of the Danish Electric Off-road Nationals was held in Sommersted on a super high-bite and technical track. In the 2WD class, Frederik Hovgaard took the TQ from Mike Gosvig, who struggled a bit with the hotter and slightly lower grip conditions compared to the practice sessions before. The Zealand-based Næstved RC track in Denmark played host to the second round of the Danish Nitro On-road Nationals. The battle of the weekend in the 1/10th 200mm class would be between Martin NO Hansen and Claus Ryeskov with both being separated by only about 0.2 seconds while behind the two Rene, Tom and Bo Morten would be in their own league. Round two of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held in Tollose. Originally the event was also planned as part of the Nordic Championships but in the end it was “only” a Danish national. As for the track, the traction available and the presence of loads of 180 degrees turns made for lots of understeering the competitors had to cope with. The third round of this year’s Danish 1/10th Off–road Nationals was held at the Viborg RC racing club. In the 2WD Buggy class, run on Saturday, Yokomo’s Frederik Hovgaard took the TQ after the qualifiers from Jesper Rasmussen. The latter than dominated the A–main events by scoring wins in A1 and A2 to grab the overall win early, allowing him to sit out A3. The track offers a challenging layout with loads of curves, chicanes and long straights and unfortunately rainy weather on Saturday disturbed the practice sessions, limiting track time for the drivers.
