The opening round of the DRCMU Danish electric buggy National Championships took place recently in Aalborg, in the north of the country. In the Stock class Martin Kristensen, was almost without resistance after Jesper Rasmussen chose for new challenges in the modified class and then Sebastian Sørensen had problems with electronics just before the start and had to use its spare equipment and a borrowed motor and after that Sebastian didnt have the speed to catch up Martin and only incidents could put Martin out of the game. We received an extensive report from the final race of the electric off road Nationals that was held by Odense RC Mini Race. Round 7 of the Danish on road Championship were held at Hillerød Banen last weekend. Martin Lissau and Martin Christensen had done very well at the WC in Portugal but for National title honors it was Xray NT1 driver Claus Ryeskov who was heading for the overall 2008 national title. We received a report from round 6 of the Danish DRCMU Off-Road championship which was held in Ejstrupholm at the Midtjysk RC Arena. It was the second time this season that the club is hosted a championship event and again it was nice sunny weather on the Saturday. In Stock class it was Championship leader Jesper Rasmussen back in the fast lane and pushing his Kyosho very hard in the first round of qualifying in the damp but fast-drying conditions. We received a report from the 5th round of the Danish Off-Road Championship, which was held recently in Gjøl very close to Aalborg. The track was brand new and the club just finished their work on the track a few day before the race. In Stock class it was Martin Kristensen in the fast lane and Jesper Rasmussen in second place with Eli Lundgaard in third position, the compact and technical track suited Martin and he was able to continue his pace into the finals and won two out of three ahead of Jesper Rasmussen and Sebastian Sørensen. We received a report from last weekends 4th round of the Danish DRCMU Off-Road championship held in Tinglev. In the Stock class it was Martin Kristensen that was fastest, with Jesper Rasmussen close behind having made some mistakes in the first round of qualifying and a retirement in second, and that put Martin in Pole Position with winning the first and second round of qualifying. We received a report from last weekends 3rd round of the Danish DRCMU Off-Road championship that was held at the Midtjysk RC Arena track.
