Greiner & Hertong take German 1/8th on-road titles

The MCC Rhein-Ahr club played host for the 2017 German 1/8th IC Track Championships this past weekend. 73 drivers signed in for the event which was a 20 percent increased compared to 2016, showing that nitro on-road racing is alive and kicking. The 4-day event was held in Bad Breisig, located between Bonn and Koblenz next to the river Rhine in Western Germany and the one-event championship was using Matrix-based Arrowmax tyres as hand-out wheels. 2017 Nitro-West-Masters Rd2 – Report

The ADAC-Ring at Haltern in the north of the Ruhr region in Western Germany was the venue for round two of the Nitro-West-Masters (NWM) on the Pentecost weekend. 55 participants meant a new record entry since the comeback of this old outdoor circuit in 2012 which is located inside a driver safety training centre and well known for its unique atmosphere with tents in the non-covered paddock. Western German regional Championship Rd2 – Report

…Diekmann is leading with maximum points (242) ahead of Fleischer (234), Nenner (233), Lehmann (232) and Rausch (230). Mugen held the largest market share with 17 chassis among a total of 52 participants, followed by Serpent (12), Shepherd (11), ARC (8), Capricorn (2), KM (1) and Xray (1). 2017 Nitro-West-Masters Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Nitro-West-Masters (NWM), a popular championship held in the western part of Germany, turned into a full-throttle party on the fast 310-meter Hamm track last weekend. With a total of 64 entries, practice on Saturday was intense and the event would start in full on Sunday morning with three heats of 7-minutes qualifying of which the three fastest laps would count. 2017 Nitro-West-Masters – Season preview
